As expected Cian O Neill and Joe Quaid got the thumbs up from delegates at tonights Kildare county board meeting.
Cian O Neill is a member of Newbridge club Moorefield. While still only in his mid 30s he enjoys a hugely impressive coaching CV.
O Neill was a key figure on the Kerry sideline as the Kingdom surged to the All Ireland deciders of 2014 and 15. He was handed a three year term by the Lilywhite board.
Quaid comes from a famous Limerick GAA dynasty and stood between the posts when the Shannonsiders contested the hurling finals of 1994 and 96. Recently he was a contender for the vacant Offaly hurling job.
