Limerick under-21 manager John Kiely is in no doubt that his side have the desire to go on and reach the All-Ireland hurling final.

Standing in the Shannonsiders way is a strong Galway side that includes senior players Cathal Mannion, Jason Flynn and Conor Whelan.

Following on from their Munster final success, Kiely told the Limerick Leader that they asked the players had they the hunger to go on and win more silverware and he stressed that the answer was a resounding 'yes'.

"They have shown a lot of desire to push on. That's what we asked of them 'have they the will to win more'. We put it to them if we wanted to go on and reach and All-Ireland final," said Kiely.

He added: "We are not looking past 8pm on Saturday night - it's all about an hour on the field on Saturday."
