Limerick drew the short straw when the Round 1B qualifier draw was made.

John Brudair and his players must make the long trip to Healy Park to take on Mickey Harte and the Red Hands who boast an impressive track record in the qualifier system, having won the Sam Maguire twice via the back-door route.

They ran out of steam in the closing stages of their Ulster SFC preliminary round clash with Donegal so tomorrow's fixture provides them with the perfect opportunity to get back on track.

"I know that they're very disappointed at the result in Ballybofey, and I suppose heartened to a degree by the fact that we made a huge improvement between the league game and the championship match," Harte commented.

"But ultimately the result was still one that we lost, and we have to come to terms with that, and we have to build up our own confidence again in our own capability to be in this competition as long as possible."

The Tyrone manager has handed started to Tiernan McCann and Ronan O'Neill in the half-forward line with Barry Tierney and Cathal McShane losing out. Elsewhere, Michael O'Neill retains his place between the posts despite the return to fitness of Niall Morgan.

The visitors have been boosted by the availability of  Sean O'Dea, Stephen Cahill, Gearoid Hegarty and Pa Ranahan who have all recovered from injuries.

The Treaty County lost out by 0-13 to 0-15 to Clare in the Munster SFC and Brudair has made one change to his starting 15 with Darragh Treacy replacing John Riordan at right half-forward.

It will be the first ever championship meeting between the Red Hands and the Treaty County.
