The Limerick footballers are minus the services of at least ten players ahead of their League opener against Sligo.

The game which has been switched to Kilmallock is due to be played on Sunday and Limerick manager John Brudair is sure to give a lot of newcomers their first outing.

Brudair must plan without the likes of Ian Ryan, Ger Collins and Eoin Hanrahan who are injured, while Mark O'Riordan, Stephen Lucey, Paudie Aherne, John Mullane and James O'Meara are all unavailable. John Galvin has retired and there are also doubts over one or two others.

Sligo beat Limerick twice last year and it will be a major surprise if they don't make that three wins in a row on Sunday afternoon.
