Limerick injuries clearing up

Limerick's Kevin Downes celebrates scoring a goal.
Limerick manager John Allen hopes to have a fully-fit squad to pick from for Sunday week's All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Clare.

Seanie Tobin, Paudie O'Brien, Shane Dowling and Kevin Downes have all spent time on the treatment time since last month's Munster final victory over Cork, but hopes are growing that they will be fit to face the Banner, with main injury concerns Tobin and Downes expected to take a full part in training next Sunday morning.

"Everyone came through last weekend's club games, which is great," Allen told the Limerick Leader.
Neither Tobin (foot ligament) or Downes (broken toe) lined out for their respective clubs. They are not yet back training with us but they should be back by the weekend.

"None of them are certainly ruled out of the match. We will wait until Sunday and the doctor James Ryan and Mark Van Drumpt (physio) will make a call on where they both stand.

"Their hope is to do something on Sunday. We have been very lucky up until now with injuries so hopefully everything will work out again. We will just wait until we see them out on the field," the Cork man added.
