A good start got underway in Bruff on Sunday to our championship campaign with a win over Hospital/Herbertstown. Kilmallock opened with a blaze of scores and within ten minutes had 2.04 racked up with the two goals comeing from the stick of Graham Mulcahy. The outcome of the game seemed to be set in stone from there on with impressive scores being added from Kevin O'Donnell 1.05(2f) Paudie O'Brien 0.4 Eoin Ryan 0.2 Robbie Egan 0.2 Graham Mulcahy 3.04 and Gavin O'Mahoney 0.1.

As ususl our backs were as solid and kept a very determined h/h at bay with the fulltime score of 4.17 to 1.15
