Intermediate Hurling
Killeedy 0-15 Kildimo-Pallaskenry 0-11
Our intermediate hurlers lost their first round game Championship against Killeedy on a wet Friday May 10th evening in Feenagh. This was a good performance against good opposition and a much closer margin than in the equivalent game last season. There are 2 important games for our players left in this group.

Under-14 Football
Our Under-14 footballers, having played very little football so far this season, took to the field in a challenge match against Deel Rangers last Wednesday evening in Kildimo. Deel started well with 2 points from play - Jai Chaudri then found the back of the net to put us into a short-lived lead, Deel scoring 2 more points, 1 from a free. Caolan Rushe levelled the game with a pointed free. Deel followed up with a goal and 2 points while we scored another point from the boot of Caolan Rushe leaving the score 1-6 to 1-2 in favour of Deel Rangers at half time - it may have been a greater margin but for a succession of magnificent saves by goalkeeper Jamie Hickey. In the 2nd half, we encountered problems in winning our own kickouts - Deel were much sharper and quicker to the ball, scoring 5 more points before we managed to score from the boot of Kieran Bourke. We managed to get the ball inside the Deel 45 more often as the 2nd half elapsed with points from Jordan O'Connell and Caolan Rushe, we also hit a number of wides which we really should have pointed, Deel add a goal and 2 points during this period leaving the final score at 2-14 to 1-5 in their favour. This was definitely a worthwhile exercise for our team - we are very rusty at the moment and badly need game time. Our first Championship game is on Wednesday May 22nd against Adare in Pallaskenry at 7pm.
