Notes for Wednesday and Thursday 9th and 10th of May 2012

All County Premier Junior League Round 2

Feenagh/ Kilmeedy 2-11
Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-09

This is a very tight game played down in Dromcollogher, on Tuesday night. Hard luck lads on losing to Feenagh/ Kilmeedy this is second game lost in this group and we need to get win under our belts in the next game which is against Tournafulla, in the First round of the West Junior A Hurling Championship, more details during the week.

Timmy O'Carroll scored the first point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Feenagh/ Kilmeedy replied with next 1-1 without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford to take the lead for the first time in the game. Derry McCarthy scored his point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Feenagh/ Kilmeedy scored the next two points to leave four points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points without from Feenagh/ Kilmeedy with of these points coming from Derry McCarthy and the other point from Timmy O'Carroll to leave a point between the sides with 24 minutes gone in the game. Feenagh/ Kilmeedy scored the next point of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored their first and only goal of the game coming from Timmy O'Carroll to the take lead once again just before the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-5 to Feenagh/ Kilmeedy 1-4.

Derry McCarthy scored the first two points of the second half for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give us a three point lead early in the second half and then Feenagh/ Kilmeedy scored their second goal of the game to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game. James Hartnett scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Feenagh/ Kilmeedy then scored the next four points to take the lead once again. Derry McCarthy scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Feenagh/ Kilmeedy scored the last two points of the game to leave five points between the sides at the end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Feenagh/ Kilmeedy 2-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-9.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford gave a walkover to St. Kieran's, on last Saturday night due the unavailability of players we had to give the points to St. Kieran's on the night.
