Limerick City Club Hurling Forum takes place this Thursday May 10th

The very important Limerick GAA Club Hurling Forum which will take place this coming Thursday May 10th in the Limerick GAA Coaching & Games Department, North Campus, University of Limerick (Beside the new all weather GAA pitch) commencing at 7.30pm.

This forum will look at all aspects of how we promote and develop the game of hurling in Limerick City presently and from the information obtained draw up a roadmap for how we go about promoting the game in future years ahead.

It is vitally important that each club is represented by at least 5 adult club members on the night as the information and feedback generated will shape the future direction of how we promote and develop Hurling in Limerick City.

Format for the evening;

Opening address by Sean Walsh - Chairperson Munster GAA Council

Group discussion on the various challenges and opportunities around developing hurling in Limerick City - facilitated by Joey Carton (De la Salle & Waterford) - Munster GAA Council Games Manager

Key note address will be delivered by All Ireland winning manager and GAA pundit - Cyril Farrell (Galway)

Closing address - Ger Downes GDA Limerick City

Again we wish to reiterate how vitally important it is that each club is well represented on the night so as that we, as a hurling community, can openly discuss, assist and plan how we all together can develop the game in Limerick CIty in the years ahead.

This forum is open to any person with a keen interest in hurling that wishes to attend and is free of charge.

For those clubs who have returned their club questionnaire I say a huge thanks to you and your members for your assistance, for those who still have to return them I ask you to do so as soon as possible to this email address and before Wednesday May 10th.
For individuals wishing to make a submission then please feel free to do so by contacting Ger Downes on 086-4026454 or [email protected]
