Ladies in league title bid

May 04, 2012
The Limerick ladies footballers will go in search of the National League Division 4 title when they face Longford in Sunday's final at Tullamore.

The final, which has a 2pm throw-in, will precede the Cadbury All-Ireland U21FC final between Dublin and Roscommon, so a big crowd is expected at O'Connor Park. If Limerick are to get their hands on the silverware, however, they will have to reverse a heavy defeat they suffered to the midlanders earlier in the season.

Ann Eagers' charges have come in leaps and bounds since then and, with several 2010 All-Ireland junior winners in their team, including the brilliant Dymphna O'Brien at full forward, they are confident of getting the right result.
