Glin club notes
February 06, 2012
The 2012 club AGM was held in the clubhouse last Friday 27th of January, a healthy crowd was in attendance, the meeting was chaired by Tom Connolly. All committee members were voted back en bloc.A fund raising committee was set up with Cllr. John Sheahan taking charge of the reins, this is a committee which will hopefully lead to a settled and substantial income of revenue towards the day to day running of the club and maybe hopefully a club lotto.Team managemant was discussed with the Junior A position discussed in some lenght, the position wasnt filled on the night.Junior B management is as last year with James Donovan and Paddy Killeen Snr holding onto the reins.Minor and U21 were not finalised either.Club membership is E30 adults and E10 for students and E50 for family.Players membership/insurance must be paid in full before first training. The club would like to thank all members, supporters, players and sponsors who contributed to the club in 2011.
WELL DONE
The club would like to congratulate the Mel Syndicate and Go Home Hare on winning the Boylesports Clonmel Derby last week.A number of the syndicate are club members and players. The scenes on Wednesday night in Glin were a joy to behold and would not look out of place after a big GAA final.Hopefully some of the boys success can rub off on the club and we can have a succesful 2012.
