Patrickswell GAA Notes

August 30, 2010
The Junior B hurlers finished the group stages of the City Championship with a comprehensive 4-13 to 0-4 victory over Kildimo. The 'Well secured maximum points and cruised into the semi-finals. Congratulations to the players and management and let's hope that more success is to follow. Patrickswell had a very strong representation at the inter-county hurling tournaments last weekend. Mark Carmody (Under 17), James Carrig, Jack Kelleher and Kevin O'Brien (Under 16), John Tuohy (Under 15) and Cian Lynch & Aaron Gillane (Under 14) were selected to play for Limerick. Well done to the boys for making the county team. Anthony Carmody was also involved with the Under 16 management.

Patrickswell's senior hurlers are participating in the Club Sevens this Saturday. The Junior B footballers have their first outing in the City Championship at home to Pallaskenry on Thursday 2nd September at 6.45pm.

The camogie girls had differing fortunes on the pitch last week. Our Under 14s racked up a huge victory of 16-8 to 0-0 against Galbally. Spectators ran out of fingers to count the goals that the girls notched up! Janet O'Carroll and Tara Kirby also had the distinction of playing for Limerick at Under 14 level. Unfortunately, the Under 16 girls suffered a reverse against Crecora in their own championship game. The Under 12 boys had a good win over Monaleen in hurling.

The next Limerick Development (Mackey) Draw is Friday 3rd September in Foynes. The Club Lotto jackpot is still up for grabs at €20,000. Please contact your local seller or shop for tickets.
