DANIEL COLLINS GOAL'S PUTS DROMCOLLOGHER/ BROADFORD INTO THE WEST MINOR A HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

This was a very tight and exciting game, the better team won on the day, at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford lead by 1-8 to 1-5, with the goal coming from Paul Madigan, in the second half the star of the show was Daniel Collins scoring 1-2 in the second half, to give a nine point victory in the end of the game. John Barrett came on the second half and played a vital part in the victory. Congrats to Minor Hurlers Management Team lead by Pat McCarthy and our Minor Hurlers lead by John Barrett Captain on beating Allaughaun Gaels and the best of luck in A final against the winners of Mick Neville's and St. Coleman's, on Friday August 27th, in Feenagh, at 7pm.
Keith Lacey scored the first point of the game from a free when the game two minutes old and then Paul Madigan scored the first goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford they gave us a dream start inside the first six minutes of the game. Kevin Noonan had us five points ahead a minute with a point and then Allaughaun Gaels replied with a pointed free to reduce the margin down to four points between the sides. Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored another point and then Allaughaun Gaels replied with a point from play.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points without reply from Allaughaun Gaels and these points came from Daniel Collins and Kevin Noonan. Allaughaun Gaels replied with a point from play and then Paul Madigan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored another point to leave score at this stage of the game 1-6 to 0-3 in favour of Dromcollogher/ Broadford. Allaughaun Gaels replied with the next two points with one from play and the other from a free and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with two next points without reply from Allaughaun Gaels and these points came from Jimmy Kiely and Damien Lacey. Allaughaun Gaels replied with a goal just before half-time to leave three points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-8 to Allaughaun Gaels 1-5.
Allaughaun Gaels scored the first two points of the second half without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with the next two points and these points came from Jimmy Kiely and Brian Noonan.
Allaughaun Gaels replied with the next two points both coming from free with 43 minutes gone in the game to leave a point between the sides. Keith Lacey scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford from play and then Daniel Collins scored a goal for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave five points between the sides with 48 minutes gone in the game. Damien Lacey scored another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Allaughaun Gaels replied with another point from play to leave five points between the sides once again. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored another four points between the end of the game and these points came from Daniel Collins 2 points and Brian Noonan a point and Damien Lacey a point to leave nine points between the sides at end of the game and to book our place in the Minor A Hurling Championship Final against the winners of Mick Neville's and St. Coleman's

This was a very tight game it was goals in the end that separate the two teams, played down in Dromcollogher, on last Tuesday, well done to Minor Footballers Management Team lead by Maurice McCarthy and Minor Footballers lead by Kevin Noonan on getting the win over Adare and the best of luck against Glin, on Sunday August 22nd, in Glin, at 7pm. Paul Madigan scored a goal inside the first minutes of the game to get us off a dream start and then Adare replied with a point from play. Michéal Brosnan scored the next two points for Dromcollogher/ Broadford without reply from Adare to leave four points between the sides. Adare replied with a point from a free and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford came from the boot of Jimmy Kiely with 19 minutes gone in the game. Daniel Collins scored his first of the game to put seven points between the sides and then Adare replied with two more points before the break to leave five points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher2-3 to Adare 0-4.
Adare scored the first point of the second half and then Michéal Brosnan replied with a point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave five between the sides once again. Adare replied with a point from a free before Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored another goal coming from Jimmy Kiely once again his second of the game with 36 minutes gone in the game to leave seven points between the sides.
Adare scored the next two points without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with the next two points without reply from Adare and these points came from Liam O'Shaughnessy and Jimmy Kiely. Michael Brosnan scored the next 1-1 for Dromcollogher/ Broadford without reply from Adare just before the end of the game to leave 11 points between the sides at full-time. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher 4-7 to Adare 0-8.
