This year's Ulster Bank Fitzgibbon Cup final will be played between NUI Galway and Waterford IT after today's high scoring semi-finals.

It took extra time to decide the first semi-final at Dangan with the noon throw in match producing 49 scores over 80 minutes plus. In the end NUIG squeezed through by 1-24 to 1-23.

The second semi-final was another close affair with Waterford IT overcoming a four point half time deficit - 0-5 to 0-9 - to see off University Limerick by 1-15 to 0-14.

The final will take place in Pearse Stadium at 3pm on Saturday. Tweet
