Limerick Senior County Camogie
Limerick hosted Wexford in round 1 of the O'Duffy cup All-ireland series on Saturday last in Hospital . The weather was lovely but that still failed to get the crowd out in support of these girls . With a number of late withdrawals through injury and other commitments we found ourselves under strength , facing a really good Wexford side , the girls gave their all and were not found lacking in the fitness or dedication departments but try as they might they could not match Wexfords huger and superior fire power up front . The game ended up being a one side affair with Wexford raising five green flags and a good few white ones which Limerick could not match . This was a very good Wexford side which are well fancied to reach an All-ireland final this year .
Well done to all the girls and to the management team of Phelim Jim and Donal , the next outing in this series is against Clare in Ennis on Saturday 18th July , the cameras from RTE are to be there that day so lets all get out and support our County Team .
To that end the county board are going to run a number of Buses to Ennis on the day , we will do our best to make this as cheap as possible for all , depending on numbers we are looking at 15 euro ahead for adults and 5 euro for U16's ,which will include match ticket . It is hoped to run a bus from NCW , Kilmallock and Doon , which will stop on the way to pick up . We expect these to fill up fast so get your name (maybe as a coach of an underage team you want to bring your team out for the day) and deposit into your club secratray asap or contact Tommy Allen on 0874186602 for further info.

Limerick Minor County Camogie
Phelim and Jim have a lot of work put into these girls over the last number of months in the hope that some silverware might come the counties way in 2009 . Regraded to the B championship this year the managers feel that if they get the support and effort of all the clubs and players that the county is strong enough at underage level to win this division .
Our first fixture in this year championship is on this Sunday in Ahane against the Lilywhites from Kildare , so come on out and give the girls a shout .

Feile Na Geal
Well done to Kolmallock Camogie club who did the county proud last weekend in Feile , and to Caoimhe Costello from Adare who picked up a silver medal in the feile skills competition .Kilmallock were hosted by Eyrecourt from Galway and the very minute the team stepped off the bus the host clubs new there would no problem with this crowd .Kilmallock played 3 matches in the group stage , beating Eyrecourt in the first before going down narrowly to another Galway team (Davitts) . St. Vincnts of Dublin were definite contenders for the division 1 title and had emphatic victories over Eyrecourt and Davitts in their first two games , Kilmallock stood in their way for a clean sweep , the girls from the balbec really put it up to the Dubs ,showing the dogged never say die attitude that got them to the feile in the first place , eventually St. Vicents came out on top with just a handful of points to spare . St Vincents manager thanked Kilmallock for such a tough but fair game and he hoped it would stand to his team in the semi-final that evening ( it obviously did as they reached the final without much trouble from their opponents).
While some excellent camogie and hurling was played over the weekend , the feile is much more important to the Gaa as a bound building experience for all its underage players . Some great memories will be carried back to the home clubs by the young players , talk about the parade , the two sleepovers in host family homes , the friendly banter between clubs , the disco down the local hall for the young ones , the night out for the adults in the local watering hole , the exchange of momento's between clubs and the friendships that will last a life time .
Again many thanks to Eyrecourt for hosting the Limerick Representatives Kilmallock , ye did ye'er Club , County and Camogie proud . Kilmallock camogie club would also like to thank the county board , feile sponsors Sean Collins and all the local business that supported the club in its fundraising for feile . Also a big thank you to all the supporters that travelled to Eyrecourt for the Matches .

Finals
A Final Kilmallock 1-04 , 2-05 NCW
A deserved win for NCW , some great displays of Camogie on the night from Karen O Leary(NCW) and Miren O Grady(kilmallock) , Feile champions Kilmallock went into an early lead thanks to the free taking of Miren , but as trong fight back from the girls from the west saw them go in at the break all square . The second half saw NCW tag on some lovely scores and when the second goal came near the end it was game over for Kilmallock . Well done to all the girls and mentors .
B Final Ballyagran 8-08 , Ballybrown 3-00 .
Ballygran captured the B league over the weekend with a good win over Ballybrown .Even though the score line does not reflect it this was a tight affair for most of the game ,with some lovely hurling from both sets of players . Well done to all the players for taking part and all their parents for giving of their time through the season to take these girls to matches etc.. enjoy the summer hols .
C Final Templeglantine 5-03 , 6-05 Kileedy
Kileedy captured the C league with a gusty performance , Timmy Larkins girls playing with a strong breeze in the first half opened up a sizeable lead at half time , the Glantine girls came out all guns blazing in the second half , but try as they might they could not bridge the gap.
