MUNSTER SENIOR FOOTBALL C'SHIP FINAL
The Munster Senior Football Championship Final between Limerick and Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh will take place on Sunday July 5th at 2:00pm.
Ticket Details
Orders are now being taken for tickets by contacting Secretary Ger O'Dowd (0879710855) or Assistant Secretary Trish O'Gorman (0866011049).
Tickets for the Munster Football Final will be available on line from www.ticketmaster.ie from Friday morning June 19th.
Tickets will cost Ä35 for adults to the covered stand, Ä30 for adults to the open stand and Ä20 to the terrace. Juveniles can purchase tickets for Ä5 to either of the stands. Student terrace tickets are available through the participating county boards for Ä15. Senior Citizens can obtain a refund of Ä10 on full priced stand tickets at designated turnstiles on production of valid ID prior to entering the stadium.
JUNIOR HURLING
Our junior hurlers played a couple of challenge games during the past week defeating Adare but losing to Rathkeale in two keenly contested games. Next up is our last All County League match at home to Askeaton next Tuesday before the build up to the City Junior A Championship begins which starts in mid July.
U14 HURLING
The U14 hurlers put up a valiant effort at home to Knockainey last Friday but came off second best despite the efforts of Lorcin OíLeary in goals, Ross Mann, Harley Moloney and David Clarke. The first round of the U14 football cíship takes place this evening in as we travel to Patrickswell to take on the home side.
NATIONAL SCHOOL HURLING
Well done the Pallaskenry National School U13 hurling team who won their division last week despite missing several players. Thanks to Tim OíSullivan who looked after the team and to all who helped out and supported on the day.
VHI/GAA CL CAMP
Our GAA Summer hurling and football Camp takes place from Monday August 10th to Friday August 14th, from 10am to 2:30pm, please put this date in your diary. To book a place on the camp contact Tom OíConnell or Vinnie Fitzgerald for an application form. Cost per child is Ä55 per child, discounted 2nd child is Ä45, and discounted 3rd & 4th child is Ä35.
Vhi GAA Cl Camps provide boys and girls ñ between the ages of 7 and 13 ñ with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games
Activities are GAME - BASED ñ a strong emphasis is placed on skill acquisition - and are organised in an age appropriate manner with a view to:
optimising learning, enhancing friendships, improving physical & psychological well being, promoting school and club links.
KEY FEATURES ABOUT Vhi GAA Cl Camps
The camps are structured so that a different aspect of the game is worked on each day. The programme involves coaching specific skills of the game and the opportunity for children to put into practice what they have learned through small sided games. On the last day of the camp a "blitz" will be organised to provide each child with an introduction to competitive games. Each participant receives a complimentary set of playing gear including: shorts, socks, jersey and backpack.
Attendance is open to primary school children aged 7 years to 13 years.
LOTTO RESULTS
Numbers drawn on the 17/06/09 were: 4, 5, 7 and 16. There was no winner of the jackpot worth Ä20,000. First Lucky Dip of Ä100 went to John Martin; Second Lucky Dip of Ä50 went to Ger Hanley; Six Lucky Dips of Ä25 each went to Damien Gillane; Anne-Marie O'Connell; Rachel Cregan; Eddie Enright; Donal Behan; Christy Creed. Sellersí prize of Ä50 was won by Kielys Shop and in house winner of Ä20 was Brenda Ward. This weekís jackpot is worth EUR20,000 and the draw will take place in The Corner House Bar on Wednesday June 24th @ 9:30pm. Tickets are available online @ www.pallaskenrygaa.com, from all local shops & pubs and from committee members at a cost of EUR2 each or three tickets for EUR5.
