The death occurred on May 24, of Bill (Willie Pa) O'Brien, Armagh and Galbally, Co. Limerick. He resided at 17 Victoria Street, Armagh. He was much loved and loving husband of Colette and loving father of Eimear and Liam.

Rest in Peace. He is very deeply regretted by his loving wife, son, daughter, son-in-law James, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family cousins and friends. His remains were removed from his home to Armagh Cathedral and interred in St. Patrick's cemetery. The deceased was a son of Edward and nephew of John Joe O'Brien who took part in the rescue of Sean Hogan at Knocklong Railway Station in May 1919. The late Bill was an outstanding Gaelic footballer and he was in college when he got to know a Cork player and Bill always claimed that John was the best Gaelic player he ever knew.

After his college years, he got a position with the "Irish Press Newspaper" and he worked hard to promote the new paper all over Ireland. He stayed with the paper for a short time and he retired
from the kish Press as he was a graduate teacher and he got a position in Armagh where he taught until he retired. He was an excellent teacher and always promoted Gaelic Football with the students after class hours.
