'Lifting the Treaty'
August 29, 2008
A blueprint for the future of Limerick GAA - entitled 'Lifting the Treaty' - has been unleashed.
The plans for the future well-being of Treaty County GAA were unveiled by the County Board at their meeting on Tuesday night, August 26.
Two sub-committees spent SEVEN MONTHS working on the proposed initiatives, which were revealed to a large attendance in the South Court Hotel.
At the heart of the plans lie two full-time appointments: a Director of Hurling and a Director of Football.
The county's clubs have been asked to discuss the plans in the leaflet and return to the top table with their reactions and recommendations.
County Board chairman Liam Lenihan admitted: "Change is never easy, but change is needed."
