A reminder that U-8 and U-10 hurling training will recommence on the first Friday in September, at 6.30. Also, U-12 girls training will recommence on the same day. Here, our U-12 girls will compete in the Go Gaels festival in September.
Our club website, which can be accessed from http://abbeysarsfields.limerick.gaa.ie, always contains up to date photos from Club activities. Please watch this space to keep up to date on club events. Also, professional photos can be purchased size for 10 euro and A3 for 25 euro. One just has to pick out a photo number from the website and e-mail same to

The Club is holding the first "Go gaels festival" which will comprise of a week long festival, starting with competitions in our national schools, the week long festival will see all teams from Abbey Sars. playing their national games.
The grand finally will be a full day on the 27th of September, the highlight will be for our under-8 team who will play in front of a maxim crowd, the day will start with a parade, which will include visiting teams.
There will be plenty to do from face painting to bouncing castles all day- the day will finish up with a members BBQ and a presentation to all player by a top ranking dignitary.
Also it is important for everyone in the club to realise that all hands will be needed on the day to make this event a success. So anyone wishing to help in giving their time to their community can contact club secretary Morgan Portley
The club will be launching our new development draw in the coming months the cost is ?8.50 per month direct debit - the club are giving free 2009 family membership worth ?75, also you will be included in a weekly draw. The new brochures are available from any committee member.
The club will be holding a fashion show in the coming months to raise vital funding for our new state of the art facilities for the parish, so we are calling on all ladies to get involved in the fashion show in particular parents.
There are still a few Red Cow Moran's Hotel juvenile gear bags left the cost is ?25, so make sure your child looks smart going training.
Please note that under 12-13 football/hurling training returns to the bishops field on every Wednesday at 7pm.
