Milford GAA Notes
August 25, 2008
Last Thursday evening, our Junior B footballers begun their city championship campaign with a visit to Patrickswell. Despite being very slow to settle, Milford quickly found their feet and a very well taken goal mid way through the first half saw Patrickswell's early lead cut to just a single point. Some spirited defending by the Milford limited the Patrickswell attack to just a handful of opportunities and at half time the home side led by five points to one goal and one point. Milford rallied in the second half and took the game to their opponents. The Milford full forward line looked threatening through out the game and contributed a further two goals in the second half. However the Patrickswell forwards were beginning to find their range and some excellent points saw them run out winners in the end on a scoreline of 1-10 to 3-2. This was a very encouraging start to the championship for the lads and hopefully they can get a victory in their next outing away to Pallaskenry on Thursday.
Football training on Tuesday at 7 o'clock in Roselawn.

City junior B football championship, v Pallaskenry, away, 28th August 7.15,
