Intermediates wind down preparations

August 22, 2008
With little over a week to go, the Limerick intermediate hurlers are primed as much as they can be for the All-Ireland final against Kilkenny on Saturday, August 30th at Semple Stadium. Limerick manager Gerry Molyneux knows his side face a tough test against an experienced Kilkenny outfit, but stresses that the Shannonsiders are fully prepared for the final. "From what we have seen in the Leinster final and All-Ireland semi final we will have to be at our best for over an hour to beat them," said Molyneux. "Kilkenny are a county on a roll - they are in the senior, intermediate and minor finals and the under-21 semi final. We know that we are going up to Thurles to meet the top county in the country. "I have all the faith in the world in the players we will select from one to 24. Our guys will stand up and be counted. The commitment, camaraderie and enthusiasm they have shown is second to none."
