Foy, Patsy

August 30, 2007
There was widespread regret at the death of Mr Patsy Foy, Meiltron and late of Killahurk. He was a hard working member of the farming community and was well known for his work at baling hay and silage for many years. In his early years he was a playing member of the Carrigallen football team. His late father was also a star member of the famous Tully, carrigallen team in the late 30s and 40s. He was a great supporter of the local football team and always travelled around the parishes to cheer them on. He is the last of a very popular Foy family in the parish. Sympathy is extended to his cousins and friends. The removal of remains and funeral from St. Joseph's Church, Aughavas was large and representative. Very Rev. Fr. Faughnan P.P., officiated. Burial took place in the adjoining cemetery. Courtesy of The Leitrim Observer. August 2007
