The late Anthony Mimna There is widespread regret in his native Carrigallen and surrounding parishes at the death of Mr Anthony Mimna which occurred unexpectedly at his residence in Ballyconnell. A native of Drumshangore, Carricgallen, a member of a very popular football family, along with his brothers he played many outstanding matches for the Drumreilly football team and was a gentleman on and off the field of play. He emigrated to England where he worked for many years and on his return to Ireland he purchased a farm in Ballyconnell where he became very popular with all the neighbours. Sympathy is extended to his brothers Tom, James, Christy and Aloysious, sisters Peggy and Ita. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret five years ago. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. At his removal there was a large guard of honour from members of the Drumreilly and Kildallan GAA Clubs. Funeral was large and representative .
