The late Johnny Higgins There is widespread regret in his native Carrigallen and surrounding parishes at the death of Mr Johnny Higgins, Aughawillan, Carrigallen, which occurred in Northampton, England, following a brief illness. A member of a very hard working family he was held in high esteem by all. In his youth he was a playing member of the local Carrigallen junior and senior football teams. He was a member of the staff of Williams Brothers, Carrigallen, for many years before emigrating to Northampton, England. He would return to his native Carrigallen regularly and look up his old friends. Johnny and his wife Bridie settled down and made Northampton their home. The couple have two daughters Patricia and Teresa, Northampton, sister-in-law Delia and nieces, Carrigallen and a large family circle.
