Annaduff, Drumreilly make the drop

October 16, 2014

Annaduff and Drumreilly have been relegated to Division Two of the ACFL.

In a dramatic conclusion to the 2014 Division One programme on Saturday, new county champions Aughawillan survived by the skin of their teeth.

The 'Willies lost to Gortletteragh by 2-8 to 0-11, a result which meant they would drop to Division Two if Annaduff had been able to secure at least a draw against Aughnasheelin. But Annaduff fell to a disappointing 0-11 to 1-6 defeat...

Annaduff and Aughawillan actually finished level on the final league table with eight points each but the county kingpins stayed up on the head-to-head rule as they won by six points when the sides met back in February.

Elsewhere, Drumreilly and neighbours Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins met in what was effectively a relegation shoot-out, with the latter prevailing by three points, 0-15 to 0-12.
