Kilcrann looks forward to "winner-takes-all" tie
May 11, 2012
Leitrim ladies football boss Niall Kilcrann is expecting tomorrow's National League Division 3 final against Westmeath at Parnell Park to go to the wire.
Kilcrann's charges have already beaten Westmeath this year, but he is quick to point out that they were weakened by two sin-binnings.
"This a winner-takes-all tie, it's 15 against 15 and we are going to Dublin to win it," he said in this week's Leitrim Observer.
"We went up against them earlier this year in what was a tight game and we'll be expecting more of the same. They had two players sin-binned that afternoon and they still pushed us to the very end.
"They are All-Ireland (intermediate) champions for a reason and were the most experienced side in our group with a great management team. They also have the experience of being last year's Division 4 champions so will know how to handle themselves, but we will be giving it our all."
