We travelled to Drumshanbo to take on Allen Gaels in the league on Saturday evening. In a tight game where scores were hard to come by, an Allen Gaels goal before half time proved the difference, handing us our first loss of the year in the league. Final score Gortletteragh 0-5, Allen Gaels 1-5. Divison 3
The Junior A team had a home fixture against Ballinamore on Sunday, A game of two halves saw us go in six points down at the half. we came out and dominated the early stages of the second half, Paul Heaney scoring 1-1 coming off the bench to ensure a tight finish. Despite hitting the side netting twice and a goal mouth scramble near the end we couldnt find the goal to secure the win. Final Score Gortletteragh 1-10, Ballinamore 2-9. The U16 League continues on Tuesday evenings the lads faced Glencar-Manor this week, check results for score. The U14 Hurling League commences this Wednesday with games in Ballinamore Wednesday evening. The schoolboys competed in the Turlough Conefrey Memorial tournament also this weekend, finishing joint second. Well done!
Fixtures
Our only adult fixture this weekend sees us attempt to get back to winning ways as we host Glencar Manorhamilton Saturday evening at 7pm. Support for the lads is as always much appreciated.
