Mulligan suffers another set back

Leitrim's Emyln Mulligan
Leitrim's Emlyn Mulligan looks set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering a reoccurrence of the cruciate injury that ruled him out of the entire 2009 season.

Mulligan, who returned to action last month after coming on as a substitute in last month's NFL Division Four defeat to Wicklow, picked up the injury while playing for his club Melvin Gaels at the weekend and it is not yet known how long the attacker will be ruled out for.

The news compiles the misery for Leitrim boss Mickey Moran, who has recently learned that Mulligan's club-mate Colin Regan has been ruled out for the season due to a serious knee injury he picked up in training.
