Morrison looks to championship
February 19, 2010

John Morrisson
Leitrim joint-manager John Morrison has admitted that results in the league mean little to him and that the championship is all that counts.
While, every manager will be in agreement, few will publicly belittle the league to that extent, but Morrison is a man, who speaks his mind.
Leitrim have failed to win in the league yet having lost to Waterford and Wicklow so far, but Morrison is looking at the bigger picture and preparing a team for the summer.
"If Leitrim stay in division four, well they can shoot me, I don't care. It is not the end of the world for Leitrim people, they'll still go on," said Morrison.
"If you win the league and are in the championship, nobody gives a toss about the league. People only give a toss about the league if you are relegated.
"I'm looking forward to the championship because at the end of the day that's people's bread and butter."
This Saturday, Leitrim take on Kilkenny at home and they should surely pick up two points from this encounter.
