VHI Cul Camps
The Cul camp will take place in Dromahair this year on week commencing 20/07/09. The camp is open to primary school boys and girls aged 7 to 13. You can register online at the Leitrim GAA website or www.gaa.ie. For more details contact local coordinator Gerry Fowley.
La na Club
We celebrated La na Club last Sunday because the original date clashed with Celebrity Bainisteoir. The day started with a special Mass celebrated by Fr. McTienan and Fr. Mawn this was followed by a parade of all our teams through the village to the Park. A national school tournament was held between the 4 schools in our area and this was won by Leakaun. Dromahair Ladies team then took on a team made up of the team s mothers in a challenge match and this match was a lot closer than might have been expected and but for some injuries the mother s team might have won. A plague was also unveiled in the Pavilion to mark 125 years of the GAA. Our Junior and Intermediate closed the day with a practise match. Thanks to everyone who organised the day and to everyone who helped out, especially the ladies who looked after the refreshments and Brid, Sean and Stephen for providing the music and our referees Michael and Niall.
U12
Our next U12 game is on Monday 6th of July in Kinlough at 7pm. All players are asked to meet in the Park at 5.45pm.
Demon Festival
The Demon Festival took place in Dromahair last weekend and it was a huge success. Thanks to the organising committee for all their hard work it s very much appreciated by all the community.
Leitrim
