Glancy resents poor start

Leitrim hurling boss Kevin Glancy says that his side's poor start against Tyrone last Saturday cost them a place in this year's Lory Meagher Cup semi-finals.
Leitrim conceded 1-7 in the opening 25 minutes at Healy Park before registering their first score, which paved the way for a 1-20 to 3-8 defeat.
"Mick Burns got two goals in the second-half, which kept us within striking distance if not close enough. I am very proud of the way the players' attitude changed in the second-half.
"We played more like the team that we are in the second-half and I think if we had started with that attitude and with that commitment it might have been a different game."
Now the Leitrim manager is hoping that the upcoming county championships can bring some new players into the squad for next season.
"Hopefully with the profile the county team has got this year it will encourage more players to play at the club. Hopefully we will unearth some new talent out of this year's championship," stated Glancy.
