Glancy keeps sunny side up
June 19, 2009
Leitrim hurling manager Kevin Glancy believes his team can still progress to the semi-finals of the inaugural Lory Meagher Cup.
Last weekend's defeat to South Down at Pairc Sean denied Glancy's charges a semi-final berth in the fourth-tier championship, but they can still progress via the scenic route if they beat Tyrone in Omagh on Saturday.
"We are not out of it by any means yet and it just means an extra game to do what we want to do - which is to win the championship," says the manager.
"We are going to have an extra game if we want to get to the semi-finals.
"It means we just have to regroup, have a look at what happened and plan for next Saturday, when we will have to give it everything again.
"But we are still in the championship."
