Darcy honoured in Dublin
May 29, 2009
Aughawillan clubman Frank Darcy has been honoured for his hard work and dedication in training the club's Dublin based players over a 30-year period.
With so many players forced to go to the capital for work, it was decided many years ago that they would train in the Phoenix Park, two nights a week.
Frank Darcy took on the role as trainer all those years ago and he still holds that position. The club decided to honour him at a function held in the Ballyboden St Enda's club recently.
Frank, whose sons Declan and Ken lined out for Leitrim for many years was delighted to receive a memento of his service to the club.
