Last Saturday evening saw Gortletteragh land the Ladies County Junior B title by overcoming Aughnasheelin with five points to spare. Early points from Samantha Harte and Caroline Quinn gave the winners a cushioned start, before a superb lob from Fiona McCann hit the net to raise the game's first green flag and establish a four-point lead. After talking a good pass from Laura Bohan, Aisling Sammon levelled matters with a goal of her own, however two majors from Michelle Reynolds assured her side of a 3-4 to 2-3 lead at the interval. Aughnasheelin started the second-half brightly, but squandered their chances and only scored 1-1 through the half, which was enough for Reynolds' second brace of goal to more than cancel out as she finished the match with an impressive 4-2, which led her side to the title.
