GLENCAR/MANORHAMILTON CLUB NOTES MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP On Friday evening at 6.30pm our Minor team will meet St. Francis (Drumshanbo & Ballinagleara combination) in the Bee Park. It is a must win game for the team in order to be in with a chance of been in this years Minor Championship Final which precedes the Senior County Final on Sunday 28th September. We wish the team the best of luck and hopefully there will be a good crowd in the park on Friday evening to cheer them on. WEEKEND FIXTURES Two games down for this weekend. On Sunday our Senior Team will meet St. Mary's in the Championship Semi Final at 4.30pm in Pairc Sean while those travelling to Carrick will be able to call into Leitrim Village on route for the third round of the Junior Championship against Fenagh which is on at 2pm. JUNIOR B CHAMPIONSHIP Unfortunately our Junior team just missed out on a share of the spoils against Kiltubrid on Saturday evening. Kiltubrid always had the upper hand in this game but our lads never gave up and kept plugging away to come within just a point of Kiltubrid. Final Score: Kiltubrid 1-10 Glencar/Manor 2-6. Team & Scorers: Sean Boylan, Kevin Rogers, Hugh McGurrin, Colm Farrell, Enda Healy, Dermot McMorrow, Micheal Dolan, Ronan Hazlete, Ian Feeney, Pauric Kerrigan, Colin Ryan, Declan Ryan, Ronan McManus, Sean Watters, Thomas Coyle. Subs: Jak Dallan, Gerry Boylan, Peter Maguire, Darren Kerrigan, Damien McDermott. The team will have it all to do against Fenagh on Sunday as we have played two games to date won one and lost one. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP All roads lead to Pairc Sean on Sunday for the eagerly awaited semi-final involving Glencar/Manorhamilton and St. Mary's. I have no doubt there will be a good crowd there as the Manorhamilton support have travelled in big numbers all year. To Dessie, Eamonn, Thady, Shane and all the Team we wish you all the very best of luck. FBD GOLF CHALLENGE Apologies to Sean Boylan, Tommy O'Connor, Gerry Logue & Gerry Hickey as I meant to put this in the notes before now! Well done and a big thank you for representing the Club in Claremorris for the Connacht heats of the FBD All Ireland Golf Challenge. It was great to have the Club represented in this highly rated competition. Unfortunately, lady luck was not with our Golfers on the day. KEY OF THE DOOR Congratulations to Peter Maguire who celebrated his 21st at the weekend. Also belated congratulations to Cathriona Love who celebrated her 21st recently. ALL IRELAND TICKETS The Club held its raffle for the Hurling & Football Tickets in the Market Bar on Wednesday last. Lucky in the Hurling was Marie Clerkin & Adrian O'Flynn while the football tickets were won by Jacinta McNulty and Mark Ryan. Well done.
