A tweet from Leitrim footballer Emlyn Mulligan probably sums up how a lot of inter-county players affected by match postponements due to the snow are feeling today.
Mulligan left his home at 6.30am, only to find out two hours into the long journey to Ardmore that Leitrim's Allianz League Division 4 game against Waterford had fallen victim to the weather.
However, the sharpshooter - who was due to make his return to action today after recovering from a third cruciate ligament injury - has a far greater issue with the fact that the game has been re-fixed for the same venue at 2pm tomorrow, Bank Holiday Monday.
A 'joke' is Mulligan's assessment of the situation. Hard to disagree with him, especially as he's one of the unlucky ones who has to work tomorrow.
TweetOn the road since half 6 this morning. 2hrs down the road on way to Waterford got word game was off. Grand. 2hr drive home, get word game may be on tomorrow at 2pm, same venue(9 hr round trip) Seriously! We just do what we're told #joke
