Brennan quits football

Barry Brennan
Laois football has suffered another setback following the announcement by county star Barry Brennan that he has retired from the game due to injury.
The O'Moore County has endured a turbulent year that ended with manager Liam Kearns stepping down from his position following the qualifying defeat to Down.
And now they must deal with the loss of Brennan, who has been plagued by injuries in recent years that have curtailed his playing time with the county and his club.
Surprisingly, Brennan made the decision the morning he was due to line out for his club Graiguecullen, even though he had been picked to play at centre forward against Arles-Killeen.
