Portlaoise manager Tommy Conroy is eager to have Zach Tuohy available for Sunday's county SFC final.

The town team are seeking their eighth consecutive senior title this weekend when they take on Arles-Killeen for the second year in a row.

Portlaoise have stuttered through the campaign so far and their preparations have been slightly overshadowed by Tuohy's availability as he is due back in Australia before the weekend as he returns to pre-season AFL training.

Speaking to the Leinster Express, Conroy said: "We're hoping to have him around. We're working on it at the moment. That's really all I can say at present. There's nothing decided yet. We'll have to see how that one goes."
