Player exodus continues
May 15, 2013
There seems to be no respite in the number of players transferring out of the county.
Emigration has plagued every county in the country and Laois is no different with a huge number leaving since the start of the year alone.
Even in the last few weeks, a number of transfers have been granted and these included O'Dempsey's Brian Meredith to St Kevin's in Melbourne, St Joseph's duo Joey Devoy and Colm Campion to the Kerry club in Boston.
Ballyroan Abbey have lost experienced midfielder Daire Phelan to North London Shamrocks, while Diarmuid Carroll has gone back to Limerick from Arles-Kilcruise.
Former Laois hurler Kieran Fitzpatrick has left The Harps and moved to London, while Ballinakill's TJ Lawlor has moved to Boston having initially transferred to a club in London.
