Laois ladies football news

Laois Senior Ladies Footballers are in Tesco Homegrown National League Division 1 semi-final action this Sunday when they face Cork at Sean Treacy Park, Tipperary Town at 2pm.

It's the first semi-final for Laois since beating Monaghan two years ago on the way to the final where they were beaten by Sunday's opponents.

Laois have already beaten Cork in this years campaign, recording a first win over the Rebelettes at any level since 2000, thanks to a 1-9 to 0-11 win at Stradbally on Saturday March 30th.

All the best to the players and management as they vie for a first league final appearance since 2011.

UNDER 16's LOSE TO DUBLIN

Laois Under 16's succumbed to a strong Dublin outfit by 8-14 to 4-4 at The Heath on Saturday in the Leinster Championship.

UNDER 14's DEFEATED BY DUBLIN

Laois Under 14 team staged a spirited performance before losing to Dublin by 5-7 to 3-4 in an entertaining Leinster Championship tie at The Heath on Saturday.

UNDER 12 DEVELOPMENT SQUAD

Under 12 Development Squad training continues this Saturday. in Ballyroan, starting at 11.30 sharp.

CHILDRENS PROTECTION OFFICER COURSE

A Children's Protection Officer Training Course is being held in Portlaoise Leisure Centre this Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. The cost is 30 euro for the course. It is very important for each club's Children's Officer to undertake this course. Please confirm attendance to Laois LGFA Development Officer Derek Egan.

LAOIS LGFA COUNTY BOARD MEETING

A meeting of the Laois Ladies Football County Board will take place this Thursday, April 25th in Parkside at 8pm.

All clubs must have two delegates in attendance.
