Laois manager Seamus Plunkett is confident his charges have the quality to do well.

The O'Moore County must bounce back from last weekend's defeat to Kilkenny and beat Offaly if they are to keep their Leinster MHC title hopes alive.

And Plunkett stressed to the Leinster Express that his side can match the best of the teams in the country on their day.

"Anyone who has been at our training sessions over the last number of weeks would see that there is quality in Laois hurlers," stated Plunkett.

"I've said this a few times but if you get that spirit together and that sense of Laois-ness together, it's surprising where that will carry you." Tweet
