Laois minor hurling manager Seamus Plunkett
Laois minor manager Seamus Plunkett feels his side are well equipped to deal with the threat of Kilkenny this weekend.
The sides meet in the second round of the Leinster championship as the Cats begin their campaign, while Laois play their second match, having defeated Westmeath last time out.
Laois dug deep to grind out a win against Westmeath and Plunkett stressed to the Leinster Express that win has given his a load of confidence.
"We are up against Kilkenny and we are really looking forward to that game, and challenging ourselves against one of the hurling strongholds," said Plunkett.
"I know it's an old cliché we are just taking it one game at a time. We have picked up a few injuries in the last week, mainly to MJ Dunphy and Joe Campion, which might sideline them for a few weeks."
