No definitive move in hurling boss hunt
August 27, 2010
The County Board is working on finding a successor to Niall Rigney.
Chairman Brian Allen has confirmed that the hunt for a new county senior hurling manager could go on for another three weeks.
Kilkenny's Adrian Ronan has ruled himself out of contention, while former Galway manager Conor Hayes has been linked with the vacancy.
Tipp's Tommy Dunne is another name being bandied around but the county chairman has refused to comment directly on speculation, merely confirming that formal contact has been made with a couple of candidates to assess their interest.
Club nominations have been received and further candidates will be contacted before a decision is made.
