Denis Lalor and Brother Philip Ryan have been ratified as Laois minor football and hurling managers respectively for 2011.

Former county star Lalor stepped down after two years in charge of the minor footballers following their Leinster semi-final defeat to Offaly, but has been persuaded to take up the reins again. The Heath native will again work with the same backroom team he has been using for the last two years.

Meanwhile, Brother Ryan will take charge of the minor hurlers, having been involved with the Portlaoise and Laois senior set-ups in recent years. He will be assisted by selectors Mick Scully, Liam Clancy and Peadar Burke, who have all been involved with development squads in the county. Tweet
