Chairman seeking interested parties

Laois's Colm Begley
As the search to replace Sean Dempsey continues, county board chairman Brian Allen has said that at this point they are finding out who is likely to be interested in the role.
Brian Allen is currently on the look out for the man to fill the Laois hot seat and after Kerry legend Darragh O Se declined to be considered for the job, the county board man is keen to point out that there will be no rushed decision.
"We are currently trying to establish who is interested and we'll talk to them but we're just moving one step at a time and we have to balance it," Allen explained to the Leinster Express.
"Nominations close this weekend and we'll take everything in to consideration then."
With Seamus McEnaney and Mick O'Dwyer heavily linked with the role, it is likely that there will be a number of big names in the hat once the full list of nominated individuals is put before the board.
At that point time will be spent ensuring that the proposed individuals are interested in letting their name go forward before the board eventually puts forward one person for ratification.
