Duggan passed fit for Laois minors

April 30, 2010
Laois manager Tony Ryan has announced his team for tomorrow's ESB Leinster MHC quarter-final against Westmeath at Mullingar.

Bill Duggan has shaken off a thumb injury to take his place at centre back, while his Clough-Ballacolla club-mate Willie Dunphy will captain the team from the right corner forward position.

Abbeyleix's Enda Rowland will make his minor debut in goal, despite still being under 16. Brendan Reddin, who is a younger brother of former county footballer Ger, starts at top of the left.

The O'Moore County are aiming to build on last year's Leinster semi-final appearance, but they are expecting a stern test from what is considered to be Westmeath's best team in the grade for many years.

Laois (MHC v Westmeath): E Rowland; C Hyland, N Unwin, M Phelan; B Fingleton, B Duggan, D Gilmartin; S Maher, G Burke; P Keating, C Dwyer, S Smith; W Dunphy, P Delaney, B Reddin.
