Ballinakill overturned a half-time deficit of three to emerge 14-point winners over Abbeyleix last weekend in the ACHL Division One.
Ironically it was Abbeyleix that had got off to a perfect start here when county man Dayne Peacock netted inside three minutes and when Brian Bergin's effort hit the net on the quarter hour mark it looked as though they were on their way.
However, two goals from Eddie Dwyer kept Ballinakill right in the hunt as they trailed 2-9 to 2-6 at half-time.
The second-half was an entirely different scenario as goals from Eamon Jackman, TJ Lalor and an own goal from Abbeyleix 'keeper Eoin Reilly was Ballinakill storm into a commanding lead, which they would never relinquish.
