The Paddy Dunne Memorial Cup tournament continued last night in Courtwood when the beaten finalists in last year's intermediate football championships in Laois and Kildare met.
Park Ratheniska and Monasterevan served up a very entertaining hours football and although the Laois lads led 0-6 to 0-3 at half time, they eventually gave way to the Paul Bealin trained Barrowsiders who grabbed a late goal and brace of points to secure a 1-10 to 1-8 win.
Forthcoming fixtures in the tournament are;
Wednesday 10th June - Emo v Walsh Island 7.30 pm
Wednesday 17th - Arles Killeen v Monasterevan 7.30 pm
Friday 19th June - O'Dempseys v Portarlington 7.30 pm
