Michael John Tierney has handed new Laois football manager Sean Dempsey a major boost by confirming that he has no plans to return to Hong Kong. The former Young Player of the Year nominee travelled to the Far East following Laois' championship exit at the hands of Down this year, only to return home last month to line out for his club Ballyroan-Abbey in their county intermediate championship success. He made a similar trek back to play for Ballyroan in last Sunday's 2-7 to 0-7 Leinster club semi-final victory over Offaly champions St. Brigid's, a game in which he scored 2-5. And both Ballyroan and Laois supporters will be delighted to hear that he is now home to stay.
