Campion and Healy take top awards
November 21, 2008
The annual Laois GAA Player of the Year awards function was held recently in the Heritage Hotel as the county champions in both codes provided the Player of the Year.
In hurling, county star Brian Campion was in excellent form throughout the campaign as Rathdowney Errill powered their way to the county title.
Meanwhile, dual star Cahir Healy was a rock at full back for Portlaoise as they looked comfortable in the senior football championship and it comes as no surprise that he has been honoured this year.
The awards ceremony covered all adult grades and minor in both codes and a large crowd was present to witness proceedings on the night.
